Long time, no see
It's been a very long time since I've been actually active around here. That's mostly because I've been focusing on podfic and fanfic and this wasn't really the platform for it.
However, a couple of years ago, I started drawing again. At the time, I didn't bother to post here, because well... I didn't think I was very good, or that anyone would be interested, or that I'd stick to it long enough to be relevant (I did try to make art for at least one Big Bang challenge every year since 2013 and I had never managed to commit to more than that, before). But it seems that 2021 was the right time for me to start making art again, because I've actually stuck to it. It's been two years and I enjoy painting more than I have since I was in middle school.
So, now that I had art to show off, I eventually got nostalgic for this corner of the internet which was, for such a long time, my main hangout online.
Today, I started brushing away the cobwebs and the dust, cleaning up the place a little, so I can, hopefully, start using this page again.
For now, I'm crossposting all the stuff I've been up to over the last few years.

Podficcing has really grown on me and it's all up on AO3 if you're interested.
On that note, I'm doing the audio version of
's wonderful fic Beside You in Time. The updates are sporadic, but I still have a long way to go before I catch up with the written version. I've started work on Shattered Heart again. Maybe I'll actually finish this time.

I'm sick of moving around.
I'm getting tired of politics (it's the main topic on the table right now) and it really doesn't go well with Korean dramas (the second hottest topic in my family).
I have to say, though, that it's fun to see my mum and aunts (and occasionally my dad) obsess over K-dramas after years of being made fun of for watching Anime.
I just want our politicians to get their heads out of their respective arses (preferably before they destroy the country) and find myself a place to settle in (and not have to move every other week).
And... I don't usually go for character bashing, but if anyone knows of a Rooftop Prince fan fic in which Se Na dies a horrible, horrible death after being trampled on by a herd of wild yaks (or something along those lines), please link me. It would be really therapeutic. I don't think I've hated a character this much since I had to read 'Ion' and wished he died with every page I turned.
FF.Net WTF?

Please note we would like to clarify the content policy we have in place since 2002. FanFiction.Net follows the Fiction Rating system ranging from Fiction K to Fiction M. Although Fiction Ratings goes up to Fiction MA, FanFiction.Net since 2002 has not allowed Fiction MA rated content which can contain adult/explicit content on the site. FanFiction.Net only accepts content in the Fiction K through Fiction M range. Fiction M can contain adult language, themes and suggestions. Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA and has not been allowed on the site since 2002.
Now, it could be nothing more than a reminder, but FF.net is known for kicking its users in the shins and performing surprise purges so I told
(who did a journal on it immediately theothersarshi.deviantart.com/… ) and catherine-spencer (who simply ignored it) about it and then went off to do some more digging. The Fanlore wiki already has a section on the 2012 M-Rated Purge fanlore.org/wiki/Fanfiction.ne… In late May, 2012, Fanfiction.net admins suddenly started deleting thousands of stories, (together with their reviews and comments), they considered too mature to be on the site. Reports in ffdotnetrants on LiveJournal ffdotnetrants.livejournal.com/ and the fanfiction.net M-Rated Story Purge forum say that a "swear word" in the title or summary of a gen story was enough to get a story deleted without warning.
So, yeah... it's happening. If you think a story you like might be at risk, you can use FanFictionDownloader fanfictiondownloader.net/downl… to save it. If you're an author, make backups and consider moving to a different archive.
Archive of Our Own is a great alternative, but it's invitation based. I'll see if I can get any more in case anyone is interested. As for mediaminer.org, I have no idea if it's even working anymore.
